At CFH, we are dedicated to supporting local initiatives and strengthening our community bonds. Not only do we support community-focused projects as a company, but we also offer our staff the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of initiatives, making it simple and rewarding for them to give back.

For many years, numerous employees have been members of the League of Friends at Paulton Memorial Hospital, which is close to our Radstock Head Office. The hospital is at the centre of the local community, providing care to residents within the area and supporting a wide range of health needs. Many of our CFH staff members were born at this very hospital, further deepening our connection to this essential community institution.

CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Each member contributes an annual donation of just £3, directly from their pay, with the money going towards supporting the hospital.

The League of Friends members fees have previously provided essential equipment that the NHS are unable to fund, along with enhancing facilities that make a hospital stay a slightly more pleasant experience. This support has led to the acquisition of new beds and medical equipment, physiotherapy apparatus, and enhanced facilities for the Minor Injuries Unit waiting room. Additionally, contributions have furnished the ward day room and even facilitated the addition of a birthing pool to the maternity ward before its closure.

Departments within the hospital can make an application for funds, which are then put to the committee to decide if that request will be granted.

By contributing, our staff not only support the hospital, but also help ensure a more comfortable experience for patients during their stay.
