We would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Radstock Postal Department Assistant Lily Mannings for recently qualifying as a Level 3 Data Technician – Passing with Distinction. Lily began her studies for the apprenticeship over 2 years ago and through consistent hard work, practical application and revision, she successfully completed the course in October 2024.
The Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship course is designed to give learners the ability to deal with data in a number of practical contexts. It involves a blend of traditional revision and practical learning which enables those on the course to put what they learn into real world scenarios. Learning objectives vary across a range of course modules, covering everything from data security to data architecture and much more.
Alongside Lily, Kelly Stokes, Group Head of Operations, identified the apprenticeship as it was well-matched to the practical needs of the workplace, particularly for the scenarios and situations relevant to Lily's role at CFH. The program incorporated a comprehensive portfolio and tasks that were directly connected to her daily responsibilities. It offered insights into the integration and function of data within the business environment, including training in data analysis, data cleaning and data visualization using tools like Microsoft Power BI.
Throughout the course there were chances to focus on individual areas of the business and learn from CFH colleagues, gaining an insight into the way in which data is processed throughout different areas of the organisation. Separate sessions were organised with Emma Oatley and Dean Jones from the Data Protection Team, as well as Operational Sales Manager Victoria Maunder and IT Manager Paul Turner. With dedicated support provided throughout, Lily is keen to express her thanks to all at CFH who helped her throughout the apprenticeship.
Studying alongside her work at CFH, Lily was able to successfully complete 6 modules overall, alongside 3-day sessions guided by experienced tutors. With a huge amount learned, the course culminated in a 2-part online exam, which tested some of the key areas of focus from each module. Having put in non-stop hard work and regular revision for over 2 years, Lily exceeded her own expectations and excelled throughout. Congratulations from everyone at CFH!
