Based in Timsbury near our Radstock site, Big D Transport was founded by Dom Eatherden over 25 years ago. Dom and his team have been reliable partners to CFH over the years, assisting us with the collection and delivery of event equipment and crucial electoral materials across the UK. The company are always available to assist with long distance courier jobs, and regularly travel to sites around England, Wales and Scotland to provide assistance.
Services from couriers during election periods are incredibly important, with the time sensitive collection and delivery of documents and electoral materials absolutely key. The diligent work of Dom and the team at Big D Transport has proven an essential component in the completion of successful election period at CFH. During this busy time such as the 2024 General Election, it isn’t rare for his fleet of 5 vehicles to drive close to 8000 miles between them in a week, just emphasising the scale of the task.
The Big D Transport team are a real asset throughout busy event and exhibition periods too, during which the delivery of components in an organised manner is crucial. Dom and his team can always be trusted to transport materials from A to B, supporting some of the most significant conferences, exhibitions and shows in our packed event calendar.
Having worked together for such a long and successful period, Dom and his team have built up a high level of trust and transparency with CFH staff. This includes members of the logistics and despatch teams including Roy Clarke, Olly Nash and many others. In return, CFH colleagues have nothing but positive things to say about staff from Big D Transport and Dom himself.
