CFH continue to make positive strides in the security print industry, remaining one of the few cheque printing organisations able to offer this specialised service after over 40 years in business.
CFH started life as a security print specialist and progressed quickly into the cheque printing industry, where we focused not only on cheque printing but pin numbers and mailers and pre-printed paying in booklets. We have maintained consistent growth in what many may consider a declining industry.
Growth into this market was supported by our first accreditation (Standard 55, Cheque and Credit Clearing Company Limited), which means that we are:
All accredited cheque printers must be certified by the Standard 55, the Audit Standard for Cheque Printers, which we are pleased to have held since the beginning and still at present today.
Along with this, we hold certification and are approved by several other industry-leading accreditations.
These recognised accreditations include IS0 27001 and Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus. Striving to remain competitive, we’ve continued to invest in machinery, update processes and positively work towards maintaining these accreditations, so that we can provide our customers with the very best products and services.
To date, we have produced over 100 million cheques for some of the leading banks and building societies across the UK and developed a core market position as a secure, trusted supplier. In addition, we have printed over 20 million certificates and used over 100 tonnes of specialist security paper, whilst providing a range of security print features that allow full customisation of the printed output.
Fast forward over 40 years from our initial output of secure print products, and we remain one of the leading security printers for cheque printing. While we have seen many organisations slowly exit the market, we are proud to be able to continue to offer this specialist service. Our continued output of cheques is notable in 2024, during a time in which more and more organisations are tailoring their services towards a cashless society. Fully relying on credit cards and tech solutions to complete payments certainly isn’t without flaw – with the recent Crowdstrike outage evidence enough that physical forms of payment are still as relevant as ever.
Our industry expertise and experience have allowed us to develop core relationships within the market, where we have identified that following the closure of further secure printers, the industry is seeing division in terms of printed output. This not only minimises the risk associated with the on-demand requirements of print products but allows for growth margins in outputs with the suppliers you work with.
The new market structure has allowed CFH to continue offering leading security print solutions including cheque printing, pin numbers and mailers and pre-printed paying in books, working with other reputable organisations to deliver high-quality, consistent printed output.
We are proud to be able to offer this service after 40 years and keep secure printed documents a key element within many of our client portfolios.
